Dekra labor market report 2018Mechanical and electrical engineers less in demand
Software developers and programmers were most in demand on the job market in spring. Demand for traditional engineering disciplines has fallen compared to the previous year. These are the findings of the Dekra Akademie's Labor Market Report'18.

Call center agents are interesting: they are currently in 16th place in the ranking of the most sought-after professions (2017: 9th place) and their share within the occupational field of consulting has remained well below the 10% mark for the third year in a row. According to Dekra, this probably reflects the profound change in the field of activity, which cannot be concealed by the continued strong presence of sales positions in the overall sample. Companies are increasingly using new technologies such as chats, artificial intelligence and augmented and virtual reality in their contact with (potential) customers.
