Survey of German employeesHow German companies deal with stress
Occupational stress has a significant impact on the mental health of employees. Nevertheless, 40% of German companies do not offer their staff any preventative measures. This is the result of a survey conducted by the social network LinkedIn.

"Stress alone does not make you ill, it can even have a stimulating effect," says Martin Keck, Chief Physician and Director of the Clinic at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry in Munich. "However, it is crucial that phases of tension and relaxation alternate and are balanced in the medium term. If you lose the ability to regenerate, for example if you can't even relax on vacation without thinking about work, then that's a big warning sign. Companies today are increasingly aware of the burnout problem and have an interest in their top performers getting healthy again or staying healthy - that's why it's so important to talk about it. Time pressure, working atmosphere, constant availability, but also one's own excessive demands must be put to the test."
