Occupational stress has a significant impact on the mental health of employees. Nevertheless, 40% of German companies do not offer their staff any preventative measures. This is the result of a survey conducted by the social network LinkedIn.

... for this worrying situation, LinkedIn states in its analysis: "The effects of stress and other mental health problems are still a taboo subject in the land of diligence and punctuality." Only 34% of respondents are able to talk openly about their mental well-being with colleagues - and only a quarter (25%) are able to do so with their employer. Instead, there is a fear that being open about the topic could have negative consequences. 17% state that colleagues have been disadvantaged because they have spoken openly about mental illness.
