Professions with a future
(Almost all) well paid!
The comparison portal Gehalt.de has identified trend professions with the best future prospects (and what you can earn in them) and analyzed 6,662 salary data.
According to the survey, external IT experts are not only particularly sought-after, but are also among the top earners in Germany. IT consultants, for example, earn around 75,200 euros and back-end developers 61,600 euros per year.

While combustion engines are increasingly being sidelined, the call for electric engineers is becoming all the louder. Not only does Tesla want to build a new site for its electric vehicles in Brandenburg, Volkswagen is also focusing on this trend technology and is creating 2,000 new jobs at Audi. Electrical engineers currently have a median salary of around 60,500 euros.
If you want to master large amounts of data, you can't do without them: Data Scientists and Data Artists. More and more companies are collecting all kinds of information about their customers and using it to optimize their business. Data scientists use this data to gain new insights into customer behaviour, while data artists are responsible for visualizing it. Data scientists earn around 58,600 euros and artists receive 48,400 euros.
Scrum comes from project management and is one of the best-known frameworks for an agile organizational structure. It is primarily used in software development and is intended to coordinate collaboration between interdisciplinary teams. The scrum master is a kind of team trainer and monitors all steps and processes to ensure that the desired goal is achieved without delay. As many organizations today rely on agile working methods, scrum masters will become more sought-after in the future. Their salary is around 56,100 euros.
Better image through sustainability
Corporate social responsibility managers (CSR managers) combine ecological, social and economic areas of the company and take care of sustainable strategies that also improve a company's image. CSR managers work closely with PR, marketing and management. Their salary is 45,100 euros.
Specialists in geriatric and nursing care will continue to be the focus of reports in 2020; according to the Bertelsmann Foundation's Nursing Report 2030, there could be a shortage of 500,000 full-time employees by 2030 if the trend remains the same. However, geriatric nurses only earn 32,400 euros - nurses 37,900 euros.
