BalluffDolphins as role models

Balluff uses the 'BFD' ultrasonic position sensor to monitor hydraulic clamping elements. The technology is based on the echolocation system of dolphins, which send ultrasonic waves into the water and are thus able to form a spatial image of their surroundings.
