Sensata Technologies says it will offer MHM5 and MHK5 multi-turn absolute encoders for Factory 4.0 applications - with either Ethernet/IP or Profinet interfaces and in either a shaft (MHM5) or blind shaft (MHK5) version. The speed encoders in the 'MH' series offer up to 16 bits per revolution and 14-bit speed counting. Their operating temperature range of -40 to +85 °C and IP65 protection make them suitable for most industrial applications. The design includes a toothed winding counter that is immune to electrical or magnetic interference. In addition, the speed sensors offer reverse polarity and short-circuit protection as standard.
