Turck offers a family of inductive proximity switches in an M8 housing. The ferrite core sensors have been completely redesigned technically, which has enabled the switching distance to be increased by up to 50 %. In addition to the classic switching distance of 2 mm, the M08 series devices for flush mounting are now also available with an extended switching distance of 3 mm. Similarly, the non-flush sensors are available with a switching distance of 3 or 5 mm. Thanks to the newly developed sensor electronics, the devices can be designed in a 15 mm design. The sensors are available in lengths of 15, 22, 30 and 40 mm. On the output side, M12 or M8 plugs as well as devices with cable output are available, which in turn can be ordered with a 3- or 4-wire connection as normally closed or changeover contacts. Further variants are available by choosing between devices for flush or non-flush installation with standard or extended switching distance. The sensors with cable output have a cable suitable for drag chains and a semi-transparent LED ring at the end of the sensor, which clearly indicates the switching status even in difficult lighting conditions.
