Current productsNews about sensor technology
What would the smart factory of today and tomorrow be without sensors? Sensors are indispensable as the basis of every industrial production system. Computer&AUTOMATION has summarized current trends from spring 2017 in a picture gallery.

Baumer is further expanding the CleverLevel series with the LBFH and LBFI variants. The level switches are available with two switching outputs, qTeach method and 360° visible switching status display. Like their predecessors, the devices are based on frequency stroke technology and are suitable for both hygienic and industrial applications. The level switches offer various programming paths for different requirements. The sensors can be set using any ferromagnetic tools, which enables quick adaptation to changing process requirements on site. The two switching outputs make it possible to set two trigger thresholds. This means that two different process steps can be monitored with one sensor, such as production and cleaning or media groups such as water and oil. Alternatively, the two switching outputs enable a plausibility check of the sensor. Sensor defects and wire breaks can be reliably detected thanks to the complementary switching point setting. The multi-coloured switching status display provides feedback on all parameterization steps. Both device versions are suitable for use at temperatures up to +135 °C. The hygienic version is SIP-capable.
