Current productsInnovations in sensor technology
What would the smart factory of today and tomorrow be without sensors? Sensors are indispensable as the basis of every industrial production system. Computer&AUTOMATION has summarized current trends in a picture gallery.

The inductive displacement sensors of the SM34.Q series from a.b.Jödden with a diameter of 10 mm detect displacements of 5, 10, 15 or 20 mm. The integrated electronics evaluate the change in inductance caused by the axial displacement of a NiFe metal core. Operating voltages of 5, 12 or 24 V(DC) as well as a low operating current also enable use in mobile systems. Many evaluation units can directly process the displacement-proportional, analog output signal of 0 to 10, 0 to 5 or 0 to 4 V(DC). The version with current output 4 to 20 mA is available in 2-wire technology. The electrical output can also be realized with push-pull connectors. The 3-pin installation socket is integrated in the housing of the push-button. With the self-locking system, the mating connector can simply be inserted axially into the socket.
