Inka Krischke,

Safety sensor for the food and beverage sector

'Eden C' is the coated version of ABB's 'Eden' safety sensor. Thanks to its increased resistance to temperature fluctuations, it is suitable for the food and beverage industry where there is indirect or no contact with food.

Like all variants in ABB 's Eden range, the C model is a non-contact safety sensor for interlocked doors and safe position detection. It ensures that machines stop when a door or hood is opened. The models can also be used in the vicinity of robots to monitor whether they are in their defined position if their work area is entered. The non-contact safety sensor consists of two complementary parts that can detect each other's presence. All models comply with protection class IP67/IP69K and are designed for a temperature range of -40 to +70 °C. The 360° mounting option with generous tolerances ensures easy installation.
