With the S-Dias system from Sigmatek, wireless safety can be implemented flexibly and in a space-saving manner. Consisting of a standard CPU in combination with a safety controller and safety I/Os, a slim solution for the DIN rail is created. The system complies with SIL 3, PL e, Cat. 4. The safety data is transmitted - whether wired or wireless - according to the black channel principle. Standard WLAN access points are used for wireless transmission. In the case of several mobile units with safety functions, such as driverless transport systems, the central safety manager can also be implemented with an S-Dias safety system. One feature is the certified 'Optional Switch' function: it enables safety devices in the safety application to be activated or deactivated via the HMI with password protection. The registration of mobile units is also handled dynamically in the application. Safety applications can be configured thanks to the extensive library in the 'Lasal Safetydesigner'. The safety function blocks are based on the PLCopen standard and, like the safe inputs and outputs, can be positioned using drag & drop. The integrated debugger enables the graphical display of all values and clearly shows the status and signal flow of the safety functions.
