Security specialist Kaspersky has analyzed which industrial control systems are accessible via the Internet worldwide. Critical vulnerabilities were identified - at Siemens, Schneider Electric and other automation technology providers.

Over the past five years, vulnerabilities within ICS components have increased tenfold, from 19 vulnerabilities in 2010 to 189 in 2015, with Kaspersky Lab classifying 49% of vulnerabilities as critical and 42% as moderate.
