Security in the context of the new draft of IEC 61508
The draft of the 3rd edition of the IEC 61508 series (basic standard for functional safety) published in mid-2022 and its statements on the treatment of the topic of security will be discussed.
Furthermore, the current further development of the technical report IEC TR 63069 ("Framework for functional safety and security") will be reported, which provides practical information on the application of the IEC 61508 and IEC 62443 series.
