Take on real two-arm activities

Thanks to their two-arm structure, the Scara robots in Kawasaki's Duaro series can perform real, independent two-arm tasks which, according to the manufacturer, could previously only be carried out by humans in this complex manner.

The two horizontal arms can be equipped with different tools to carry out the various tasks. Automatic screwdrivers, vacuum grippers, touch pens, holding devices and grippers are available, for example. Castors attached to the housing allow the robot to be moved quickly to other locations. The coaxial arrangement of the arms means that they do not interfere with each other, enabling controlled and coordinated work. Areas of application include functional testing of tablet PCs, smartphones or laptops, assembly and screwing work, assembly and packaging of package units or assembly of circuit boards. The robots can be used collaboratively with humans in a production environment. They have a low-frequency motor that performs its tasks at reduced speed in collaboration with humans. In the event of contact, the robot stops immediately thanks to the "collision detection module".
