At the VDMA Robotics Division Meeting, which took place online during the General Assembly of the VDMA Robotics + Automation Association, a new Executive Board was elected for the period 2021-2024. Volker Spanier, Head of Manufacturing Solutions at Epson Germany in Meerbusch, was confirmed as Chairman of the Board.

After a sharp decline in sales last year, the robotics industry is currently experiencing a positive turnaround with a high increase in sales for the current year. There is significant potential for the use of robotics in small and medium-sized companies and in human-robot collaboration. According to the Management Board, the positive trend is expected to continue in 2022, says Volker Spanier.
