Artificial intelligenceRobot dog 'Aibo' returns

At the beginning of November 2017, Sony presented the new version of its robot dog 'Aibo'. According to the electronics company, 'Aibo ERS-1000' should be able to interact better with its owner than its predecessor, which Sony took off the market over ten years ago.

While the original 'Aibo' still had a robot head, the new generation (ERS-1000) looks more like a cute toy dog. There are still technical limitations due to the battery capacity: according to Sony, the robot dog's battery lasts around two hours. After that, 'Aibo' has to be plugged in for three hours. The robot dog weighs 2.2 kg, has two cameras, fast LTE data transmission and small OLED displays in its eyes to make them more expressive.
