Active Gelt Grinder (ABG) is the name of the autonomously cooperating system package for force-controlled surface processing of small and medium-sized workpieces from FerRobotics. According to the manufacturer, it can be used to grind, polish or deburr varying parts completely unmanned. When the robot presses the workpiece against the 'Active Belt Grinder', it intuitively adapts to the shape and keeps the contact force constant - with a freely adjustable setting from 5 N up to a maximum power of 800 N. This means that no grinding mark is required. This means that no grinding markings are required and grinding steps are reduced. The entire cell also takes up less space.
