RoboCup World Championship 2017German robots impress in Japan
Soccer skills were on display at the RoboCup robotics competition in Japan at the end of July. At the forefront: the robots from the German university teams. They also showed how advanced they are technologically in the industrial, household and rescue disciplines.

... were won by German teams. Team 'B-Human' defended its world championship title with a 2:1 win in the final against the Nao team from HTWK Leipzig. Third place went to the 'Nao Devils Dortmund' team from Dortmund University of Technology. B-Human' also came out on top in the technical competition of the Standard Platform League, which this time was held as a penalty shoot-out in a knockout procedure.
