Armin G. Schmidt becomes CEO of German Bionic
The Augsburg-based robotics specialist German Bionic is expanding its management team: The new CEO will be technology entrepreneur and company co-founder Armin G. Schmidt.
Among other things, Schmidt founded the streaming service Aupeo and the automotive IoT platform Advanced Telematic Systems (ATS).
© German BionicTogether with Dr. Peter Heiligensetzer, who will be responsible for technological development as CTO, Schmidt will drive the further expansion of the exoskeleton manufacturer.
Exoskeletons or exoskeletons combine human intelligence with machine power by supporting or amplifying the wearer's movements.
© German BionicThe independent institute BIS Research expects the market volume for such solutions to reach USD 4.65 billion by 2026. As Chairman of the Advisory Board, Nokia Here founder and former CEO Michael Halbherr also advises German Bionic. Halbherr, who is also one of the co-founders, brings more than 30 years of experience in leading international technology companies to the company.
Last but not least, Nicholas Barclay-Steuart joins German Bionic as Head of Finance. Barclay-Steuart started his career in investment banking at Lehman Brothers in London. From there, he moved to the technology team at Ernst & Young (EY) as an M&A advisor, where he advised Bosch and Deutsche Telekom, among others.
