MB Connect Line offers the USB over IP service. Its functions enable remote access to USB devices via the 'mbConnect24 V2.1' remote service platform. This allows devices with a USB interface to be integrated into end-to-end solutions for data acquisition, monitoring and remote maintenance - for example controllers, sensors, regulators or cameras. The components are connected to the USB port of an 'mbNET.mini' industrial router. According to the provider, 'USB over IP' meets the same high security standards as direct IP connections. Data transmission is encrypted via secure connections using the TLS (SSL) security protocol. Only users who have been granted the appropriate rights on the central platform have access. Two-factor authentication (2FA) provides additional security: In addition to the user name and password, the user must enter a PIN that they receive via their cell phone. The user then sees the USB device on their computer as if it were directly connected.
