New components for the RiLine Compact busbar system

Rittal is expanding the "RiLine Compact" busbar system with additional components: Until now, the busbar system up to 125 A consisted of contact-protected boards, which form the basic element of the system, as well as add-on components, such as connection adapters for feeding the busbars or device adapters for mounting switchgear and protective devices from various manufacturers. Motor control units are now being added, which can be plugged directly onto the board and thus receive their mechanical and electrical connection in a single assembly step. The motor control units are available for three staggered current ranges: 0.6 A/ 2.4 A and 9.0 A; they fulfill the functions of the direct starter and the reversing starter in just one device. The design with a width of only 22.5 mm offers a space saving of half compared to standard 45 mm switching devices in this current range and 75 % space saving compared to the 90 mm wide reversing combinations. The 3-phase motor control unit is a hybrid switch including current monitoring. The input signal initially switches the electronics on, with the mechanical contacts then taking over for the main duration. Thanks to their diagnostic function, the devices can detect internal and external faults. Operating states and error messages can be evaluated via four LEDs that light up in different ways.
