What does Motek 2016 have to offer in terms of new products from the fields of material flow, handling technology and industrial handling? Computer&AUTOMATION shows a selection of products from over 900 exhibitors in a series of pictures.
The PT440303 and PT440304 laser probes now supplement the existing PT44 series from ipf electronic with extended measuring ranges from 120 to 280 mm and 200 to 600 mm. According to the manufacturer, the new versions open up additional fields of application for laser scanners with a small steel diameter of ~50 (PT440300) to ~500 μm (PT440304) when it comes to detecting the smallest objects or the overlap of thin materials such as sheet metal. The devices in the series offer a measurement repeatability of up to 10 μm and a linearity with a deviation of ±0.1% of the measuring range end value. The variety of functions and the compact design of the probes in an aluminum housing (IP67) are intended to facilitate integration into production processes. The laser scanners are equipped with a four-digit display. Three function buttons can also be used to set numerous options such as time, window or maximum/minimum function. In addition to a switchable digital and analog output - 0 to 5 V(DC) - the scanners have an external input for carrier, laser power control or zero point adjustment.
