Igus has expanded its range of three-dimensional energy chains and introduced a new size of Triflex TRLF. With a nominal diameter of 125 mm, the TRLF.125 is the largest in the range; this means that more cables and hoses can now be fed through. According to the supplier, the energy chain can be quickly assembled and disassembled for torsional movements, which reduces downtimes. Each individual chain link has three pivoting opening bars that can be opened and unfolded by hand or with a screwdriver. This makes it easier to fill with cables and hoses with large diameters. The three-part internal division program, a defined minimum bending radius and a torsion of approx. ±200° per metre of chain ensure secure guidance and prevent the cables and hoses from 'twisting'.
