CES / Consumer Electronics Show 2018A source of ideas for the industry?
The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas always provides interesting impetus for the industry. This year, companies once again presented numerous innovations - particularly in the areas of connected vehicles and HMI technologies.

The 'Assisted & Automated Driving Control Unit' is a computing platform from Continental for automated driving and for processing enormous amounts of data. It is based on the open computing language interface (OpenCL) from Khronos. The platform offers heterogeneous data processing with a CPU, a GPU, a DSP and now, thanks to the cooperation with Xilinx, also with FPGA. This gives developers the opportunity to optimize their software with the appropriate processing engine or to create their own hardware accelerators with the programmable logic from Xilinx.
