The ELM314x economy series of Ethercat measurement technology modules from Beckhoff complements the 'ELM3x0x' basic series. The measurement technology modules are available in 2-, 4-, 6- and 8-channel versions. This enables high-precision measurements with 100 ppm accuracy in the temperature range from +10 to +40 °C. The measurement modules can be set to measure current or voltage on a channel-by-channel basis and offer maximum sample rates of 1 kSps per channel. Analog signals in the range from ±1.25 to ±10 V, from 0 to 10 V, from ±20 mA or from 0/4 to 20 mA can be processed. The Economy series offers the same range of functions as the basic series at significantly reduced channel costs. These include 2-stage, freely adjustable filters, oversampling as well as distributed clock, TrueRMS and scaler functions. The familiar diagnostic features from the basic series for unattended long-term use are also implemented.
