When temperatures are measured in highly flammable or potentially explosive media, sensors are required that comply with the current ATEX and IECEx directives. With the EX-certified cable sensor from Telemeter Electronic, the user has the option of designing the cable sensor according to their own specifications with configuration flexibility. The sleeve length can be freely selected from 20 mm to 1000 mm. The diameter of the sleeve can also be adjusted between 3 mm and 15 mm. Pt100 is preferably used as the sensor element. Depending on the application and operating temperature, leads or cables are available in two-, three- or four-wire connections made of silicone, glass silk or with PTFE insulation (with or without stainless steel protective braiding) in the desired length. For temperature measurements in non-critical environments, the cable sensors are also available without EX certification.
