Measurement technology / Change of name

Data translation becomes measurement computing

At the end of 2015, the US measurement technology specialist Data Translation was acquired by Measurement Computing (MCC). The German branch of Data Translation has now changed its name and is now trading as Measurement Computing GmbH.

In addition, a new website has been launched at www.mccdaq.de, which will represent the two measurement technology brands and the product range in future.

There will be no changes to the company's previous address or the contact persons in the areas of management, sales and support.

According to Winfried Klass, long-standing Managing Director of Data Translation, the name change was a logical consequence of the takeover: "We had already been operating as a branch of Measurement Computing in Germany for some time. It was therefore only logical to change the company name and thus underline our affiliation with Measurement Computing."

Offer from Measurement Computing

Measurement Computing's product range includes measurement modules with USB, Ethernet, wireless and PCI/PCIe interfaces as well as autonomous data loggers for a wide variety of applications. The top end of the product range is completed by the precision measurement modules from Data Translation. These include measuring devices for simultaneous data acquisition and sound and vibration analysis with the highest transfer rates to the PC, as well as ARM-based measurement technology for embedded applications. In addition, software packages tailored to the devices are available, including the well-known DASYLab, QuickDAQ and DAQami programs.
