Siemens has updated its Simatic Sipat software for process analytical technology (PAT): Version 5.0 enables users to monitor and control the quality of their products during production in real time. The current version offers a new configuration concept which, according to the manufacturer, further increases user-friendliness and shortens implementation time. It offers users a graphical overview of all running PAT methods. Preconfigured PAT IDs are already available at instrument level during the creation of methods. This should enable users to create new methods quickly and easily. According to the company, the software also enables optimized data management for continuous production processes with Dynamic Data Alignment (DDA). The software is primarily used in the pharmaceutical, fine chemicals and food and beverage industries.
