Up to three Gigabit interfaces are available, including two with PoE, four USB ports and a range of standard serial and digital interfaces. A range of special MezIO modules is available for the fast MezIO slot, allowing customized embedded applications to be implemented cost-effectively. The fanless box controllers measure just under 105 mm × 149 mm and are equipped with either the Pentium N4200 (1.1/2.5 GHz) or the quad-core processor E3950 (1.6/2.0 GHz, code-named Apollo Lake), both from Intel. The RAM can be upgraded to 8 GB for all model variants. Thanks to the design of the all-metal housing made of a resistant aluminum alloy, which is specially geared towards efficient heat dissipation, together with the PoE Gigabit connections, the controller is particularly suitable for security applications with IP cameras and other applications with IP-based smart devices. The high data transfer rate supports secure high-resolution video streaming, image analysis in video surveillance and machine vision applications with GigE cameras. The embedded controllers can be operated with a built-in SSD and 100% CPU load at ambient temperatures from -25 to +70 °C.
