Simotics HV C is the new series of compact high-voltage motors for applications requiring water-jacket cooling or flameproof enclosures in Ex d IIB design. In the patented cooling concept of the air-cooled flameproof version, elements of the tube cooling system are integrated into the fin-cooled housing, which significantly improves the cooling of hotspots in particular. At the same time, a modern fan design with an internal cooling circuit optimizes heat dissipation. Temperature distribution and heat dissipation have also been significantly improved in the water-jacket-cooled version thanks to a new cooling concept. The pressure-resistant terminal box of Simotics HV C is identical in design for 6 kV and 11 kV with the greatest possible compactness and saves up to several hundred kilograms in weight.
