What's happening in the field of control systems? Computer&AUTOMATION has summarized current products from the field of control technology in a picture gallery.

The operating elements of Weimüller's IT timer relay can be adjusted using standard tools. An LED display signals when the supply voltage is present, a switching time is running or the relay has picked up. The operating elements and display are housed in the flat front cover. Measuring just 57.9 mm x 17.5 mm x 98 mm (depth x width x height), the device also fits into small, machine-oriented on-site housings. It meets the product standards according to IEC 61812-1. The timing relay works in an operating range of 24 to 48 V(DC) or 24 to 240 V(AC) and is therefore suitable both for classic contactor circuits and for applications that work with control voltages. Six time ranges cover a span of 0.05 s to 10 h; the repeat accuracy is <0.5 % or ±5 ms. With a switching capacity of 1250 VA(AC) (resistive) or 90 W(DC) (resistive), it can handle many switching tasks directly, without additional contactors. In addition to the standard "on-delayed" and "off-delayed with control contact", the device also offers the functions "on-delayed with control contact", "on-switching voltage-controlled", "off-switching with control contact", "flasher pause-starting" and "flip-flop (toggle)".
