The ECI 63.xx K5 from ebm-papst can be operated as a drive with positioning, speed, current or torque control and thus supports the communication and motion profiles in accordance with IEC 61800-7 (DS402). Thanks to integrated intelligence, the drive is freely programmable - similar to a PLC. For example, one function allows the drive to be controlled in almost any way via the integrated I/Os without the need for movement commands via CANopen. Use as a CAN master is also possible. This makes it possible to dispense with a higher-level PLC for simpler applications, so that networks can be set up to work as standalone applications instead.
