The CTM door locking device from Euchner can be easily integrated into the machine design thanks to its small dimensions of 120 mm x 36 mm x 25 mm. According to the manufacturer, the elastomer-mounted ball actuator even enables doors with extremely small swing radii to be secured. The bistable guard locking function of the 'CTM' safety switch ensures that the guard locking remains in its current state in the event of a power failure or when the system is switched off: this means that the door remains locked if it was previously locked. If the guard locking was not previously activated, the door can also be opened and closed as required. This means that people can no longer be locked in unintentionally in the event of a power failure. Thanks to its communication capabilities, the locking device can be easily connected in series with other devices from the provider. The integrated interface also enables connection to the 'ESM-CB' evaluation unit, which forwards the data to the higher-level control level via IO-Link.
