The MZCG magnetic cylinder sensor from Sick is specially designed for pneumatic grippers and miniature pneumatic cylinders. According to the supplier, the universal and very short design (12.2 mm) fits into the C-slots of almost all cylinder and gripper profiles. At the same time, the drop-in fastening concept ensures fast and permanently secure, tension- and vibration-resistant fastening. The short switching point of the cylinder sensor meets the requirements of demanding gripper applications with short cycle times, in which positions such as "open", "centered" and "closed" must be detected quickly and with high precision, even with short strokes. The drag-chain-compatible connection cable can withstand large torsional forces and frequent, rapid changes of direction, as can occur in robotics applications.
