In the third quarter of 2018, Siemens recorded double-digit growth in order intake, while sales stagnated. Particularly good business in the 'Digital Factory' division offset losses in the 'Power and Gas' division.

The Siemens Healthineers Division can look back on a quarter at the previous year's level - both in terms of order intake and sales. According to Siemens, this is due to considerable negative currency translation effects. Sales were led by the Imaging business. In addition to the currency-related headwind, lower profitability in the Diagnostics business had a negative impact on earnings.
