Siemens - the 3rd quarter of 2019'Digital Industries' and 'Gas and Power' cause concern
Despite considerable headwinds in key markets, Siemens grew its order intake and revenue in the third quarter of 2019. EBITA and profit, on the other hand, fell, mainly due to declines in 'Digital Industries' and 'Gas and Power'. The figures in detail.

In 'Gas and Power', incoming orders fell significantly by 15% as a result of a low volume of major orders; Q3/2018 still included two orders totaling EUR 0.8 billion for gas and steam turbine power plants including service in Israel and the United Kingdom. In terms of revenue, a strong increase in the Americas region was outweighed by significant declines in the other two reporting regions.
