Siemens - 2nd quarter 2018'Digital Factory' sees double-digit growth
Siemens has announced its figures for the second quarter of fiscal year 2018: Group-wide, comparable sales were on a par with the previous year. Broken down into the individual business units, 'Digital Factory' recorded the highest growth.

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) also recorded a lower volume of major orders; Q2/2017 included a €1.4 billion order for an offshore wind farm and services in Germany. Although revenue increased overall as a result of the merger with Gamesa, on a like-for-like basis it was down 9%. Profitability also declined due to personnel restructuring expenses and integration costs.
