Operating gestures like on smartphones and tablets
Schneider Electric presents Magelis Hmipsp, a new industrial PC that has been specially developed for system operation and features intuitive multi-touch operation. The screens are available in full HD resolution and in 15 and 19 inch sizes.
The new devices support various software packages such as Vijeo XD - a new tool for HMI configuration from Schneider Electric - as well as SCADA packages such as Vijeo-Citect or Wonderware. According to the manufacturer, this integration enables users to increase the productivity of their systems and better control processes. In terms of performance and functionality, the computers are equipped with the following hardware: fourth-generation Intel Core i3 CPU and static hard disks such as HDD, CFast and SSD (with 2 million hours MBTF - Mean Time Between Failures). The new iPCS come with a pre-installed Windows 8.1 operating system - however, other operating systems can also be used at the customer's request. Additional slots for USB, audio and network functions as well as an integrated WiFi adapter with direct access are also available.
