Digital innovations start-up competitionSpecial prize on the topic of Industry 4.0 for the first time
The 'Start-up Competition - Digital Innovations' is entering its second round in 2017: start-ups with creative ideas from the communications and information technology (ICT) sector can now apply. This time, the BMWi is awarding a special Industry 4.0 prize.

The Lübeck-based company Gestigon is working on software for the contactless control of electronic devices using gestures alone. For this purpose, the data from a 3D camera, as is currently available on games consoles, is evaluated, the user's gestures are recognized and translated into control commands. The software enables the simultaneous recording of different gestures by up to four people and requires only low computing power. The founders see areas of application in outdoor advertising, consumer electronics, automotive and medical technology, for example.
