Embedded systemsNew products at embedded world 2018
From February 27 to March 1, 2018, the Nuremberg exhibition halls made room for everything to do with embedded systems technology. Computer&AUTOMATION presents a selection of new products that were on show at the stands of the 16th embedded world.

With the RevPi-Compact, Kunbus presents a new member of the Revolution Pi product family. Instead of the usual modular design, all interfaces are housed in a single casing. Equipped with the Raspberry Pi Computer Module 3, the device has a quad-core processor with 1.2 GHz, 4 GB RAM and 4 GB eMMC flash memory (microSD memory card optional). Housed in a DIN rail housing, the device is equipped with eight digital and eight analog inputs, as well as eight digital and two analog outputs. There are also two RJ45 sockets, four USB ports, an RS485 interface, an HMDI connection, a mini HDMI socket for connecting the original Raspberry Pi camera and a pin connector for GPIOs. As is usual in the Revolution Pi family, the new computer is also open source and complies with the EN 61131-2 standard. A specially adapted version of the Raspbian operating system familiar from the Raspberry Pi with RT patch and Modbus capabilities is pre-installed.
