From February 27 to March 1, 2018, the Nuremberg exhibition halls made room for everything to do with embedded systems technology. Computer&AUTOMATION presents a selection of new products that were on show at the stands of the 16th embedded world.
The WEBS-13D1 embedded system from Portwell is equipped with the 3.5-inch PEB-2773 embedded board, which is based on the Intel Atom processor E3900 series. This integrates the Intel Gen9 graphics engine with up to 18 execution units, which is designed to improve 3D graphics performance and support 4K codec encoders and decoders. The system also offers DDR3L-SO-DIMM up to 8 GByte with 1866/1600 MT/s; 6× USB 3.0 ports, a DisplayPort and an HDMI port on the rear I/O panel with a resolution of up to 4096 × 2160 pixels. There is also a Smart COM port for RS232/422/485, which is configured by the BIOS setting via software, three COM ports for RS232 on the rear I/O panel and multiple storage options with 2.5-inch HDD/SSD and mSATA. The 200 mm × 150 mm × 80 mm chassis platform also has an integrated mini PCIe interface that offers wireless connectivity, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC, as well as LTE/GPS functionality.
