Embedded systemsNew products at embedded world 2017
In mid-March, the Nuremberg exhibition halls made room for everything to do with embedded systems technology. Computer&AUTOMATION presents a selection of new products that were on show at the embedded world 2017 stands.

The eDM-COMB-KL6 from Data Modul is designed for industrial products with high performance requirements and limited power consumption. It is equipped with the latest 14nm quad-core Intel Core i7 and Xeon processors and offers 8 MByte L2 cache with a TDP of 25-45 watts. For the mid-level, it is equipped with quad-core Intel Core i5 and dual-core Intel Core i3 processors, which offer 6 MByte and 3 MByte L2 cache respectively at a TDP of 25-45 watts. Intel's Smart Sound Technology should bring significant improvements in terms of voice control. In terms of graphics, Data Modul relies on Intel Gen 9 HD Graphics Generation GT2. DirectX-12, OpenGL-4.3, OpenCL-2.0, as well as hardware MPEG-2 decoding, WMV9, H.264 and Ultra HD Blu-ray are supported for the smooth playback of HD video material. In addition, the new HDCP 2.2 support with HDMI 1.4 now also enables the processing of 4K content. Up to three independent displays with a 4K/60Hz resolution can be controlled simultaneously with different content. In addition to 3 x DP++/HDMI-1.4/DVI, 1 x VGA (optional) and 1 x dual-channel 24-bit LVDS are also available as display interfaces.
