With the eCO/140, SSV presents an embedded module in DIL-40 socket format that has been specially developed for data-centric applications in the field of process and production automation. In terms of hardware, the module features an ARM Cortex-A5 with 528 MHz, 256 Mbytes of DRAM and a MicroSD card slot with integrated SD card. A software stack with various automation and cloud protocols is pre-installed on the memory card. There is a web front end for configuring the connections and data formats between the data source and the cloud. This allows the individual data points of an external controller or sensor to be connected to practically any private or public cloud, according to the manufacturer. The eCO/140 functions can be adapted to the respective requirements via an app-based expansion concept. Special app software components can be installed as required via the web-based configuration interface. For security reasons, the app components are also signed and linked to the digital identity of a module. Additional protocols, data and cloud interfaces as well as additional predictive analytics functions for on-site anomaly detection are available as apps.
