Smart Living initiative founded
Representatives of companies and associations - including VDE, ZVEH, ZVEI, Bitkom, GDW and ZVSHK - have signed a memorandum of understanding on the establishment of a Smart Living business initiative.
The initiative offers members, including ZVEH, ZVEI, Bitkom, GDW and ZVSHK, opportunities to exchange information and utilize synergies, for example through easier access to politics, the media and the public. For example, the members want to share their expertise on technologies, platforms, ecosystems and global smart living activities. They are closely involved in the political and economic shaping of the framework conditions for the development of a smart living market. The Memorandum of Understanding also stipulates that members can use the initiative to attract partners for the creation of new products, applications and business models.
Together with the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, the participants have developed a structural proposal for the initiative, which has already started its work with three working groups - a market working group, a legal working group and a qualification working group.
