A robotic sparring partner for boxing training, the Internet of Things for the home or a camera that always shoots blur-free films thanks to motors and position sensors - the creativity of the young researchers at the 51st national finals knew no bounds. Now the winners have been announced.

Marius Ziemke (18) from Herzogenrath relies on data glasses to optimize employees' routes through logistics centers, avoid errors and make confusing lists and unwieldy scanners superfluous. They are connected to a server via WLAN and provide the picker - the employee who puts together the ordered goods - with constantly updated work orders. This leaves both hands free to work. All he has to do is look at the barcode to book the goods. However, as this was still too slow for the young researcher, he also developed a laser scanner that is attached to the wrist and communicates with the system.
