The Fraunhofer Institutes IAO and IPA are planning to build the 'Future Work Lab' - a center that uses demonstrators to bring production work 4.0 to life. Skills development and training courses will also be offered to qualify people for the digital world of work.

The 'Future Work Lab' serves as a starting point for external partners and research centers on the one hand, and forms the basis for completely new research projects on the other," explains Thilo Zimmermann, project coordinator at Fraunhofer IPA. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research is funding the 'Future Work Lab' project for three years. It is expected to open in the fall of 2016.
