Manufacturing and logistics sectorPent-up demand for IoT
What is the current level of connectivity in the manufacturing and logistics sector? What experience do companies have in the IoT sector and what is holding back their investments in this area? A new study by market analysis and consulting firm PAC provides the answers.

The study also shows that the larger the company, the greater the relevance. This is not least due to the fact that the topic of IoT has already found its way into the corporate strategy of large production and logistics companies more frequently than in smaller companies. One clear indication of this is that large companies are significantly more likely than smaller companies to have set up organizational units or teams specifically responsible for IoT projects. However, the study also reveals organizational weaknesses in this regard, as the IoT units are not always involved in strategic decisions: Just under three quarters of respondents stated that top management makes IoT decisions in their company.
