Stepper motors of the MIS23 series, JVL

JVL has further developed the integrated stepper motors of the MIS23 series. The integrated motors in Nema23 flange size have an RS485 interface as well as optional CANopen or Industrial Ethernet, and a motion controller programmable in sequential function chart language is also available. The microstep resolution is 409,600 steps/revolution. With the M12 connector outlets, the user can choose whether to use them radially or axially in their application. The motors are available in three different sizes and two different motor types: three versions with standard high-torque stepper motors and two versions with ultra-high-torque stepper motors with 40 % higher torque. The motors can be operated "stand alone" or via a controller. Eight I/Os can be individually parameterized as digital inputs/outputs or analogue inputs. As standard, it is possible to communicate with higher-level systems via Modbus RTU or CANopen, for example. The "JVL MAC" protocol, which is also supported, enables an RS485 network to be set up with up to 254 other integrated motors from the supplier. The motors offer Industrial Ethernet protocols such as Profinet, Ethercat, Powerlink, Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP and Sercos III as an interface.
