Metz Connect is expanding its product range in the area of unshielded RJ45 connection modules. In addition to the unshielded Cat.6 variant (transmission capacity up to 1 Gbit), a Cat.6A variant in Class EA with a transmission capacity of up to 10 Gbit Ethernet will be available in future as an unshielded connection system. The housing parts of the RJ45 modules are each made of robust and durable plastic. The system consists of unshielded Cat.6A modules in black and white in modular design (UAE modul Cat.6A) and keystone design (UTP modul Cat.6A), an unshielded Cat.6A installation cable (MC GC500) and shielded Cat.6A patch cables, which are also suitable for unshielded channel links. There are a variety of installation applications for both the 'Module' and 'Keystone' designs, such as in patch panels, junction boxes, underfloor support systems, top-hat rail mounts and special solutions. The modules are tested in accordance with Cat.6A component testing and certified by the GHMT. The individual module was tested as a component with up to 600 MHz and the link with up to 800 MHz. The unshielded RJ45 sockets can be connected without special tools and are suitable for connecting two- and four-pair data cables with AWG 26/1 to 22/1 as well as for AWG 26/7 and 22/7 via IDC insulation displacement connectors.
