Vision & Control is launching ring lights with 'Smartlight' electronics, which have been specially developed for operation with the company's own 'vicolux DLC 3005' lighting controller, but also work with standard lighting controllers from other manufacturers. The use of Smartlight electronics integrated into the lighting offers a number of advantages for industrial applications: The limit values for current and pulse time stored in the lighting and read out by the controller prevent the lighting from being overloaded. Active temperature monitoring provides protection against premature ageing of the lighting. The reverse polarity protection prevents destruction of the lighting field in the event of wiring errors during commissioning. The ring illuminators are suitable for mounting around the lens or directly on the lens and thus for radial, high-intensity illumination of the test object both in continuous light and in flash mode. They are available with internal diameters of 104, 73, 41 and 20 mm. The inner and outer diameters of the ring lights are matched to each other so that all four lights can be plugged together in one plane. The external dimensions of the ring lights are identical to those of the previous 'RK' series.
